PROJECT TITLE
“Regenerative Mechanisms for Health” ReMedy
SUBPROJECT TITLE:
“Cross-talk between the transport of mitochondrial proteins and cellular protein homeostasis”
PROJECT LEADER
Prof. Agnieszka Chacińska / Laboratory of Mitochondrial Biogenesis
SUBPROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Laboratory of Mitochondrial Biogenesis investigates the biogenesis and transport of mitochondrial proteins, and crosstalk of these processes with cellular mechanisms maintaining protein homoeostasis in physiological conditions and under stress. The project aims to understand signals and mechanisms, by which mitochondria influence and orchestrate a cytosolic protein folding and degradation network for protein homeostasis in health, during ageing and in cancer.
